On-Grid
The workhorse: grid-tied solar.
Your panels feed your load first; the surplus spins your meter backwards through net metering. The cheapest way to cut a bill — with one honest limitation.
How it works
The engineering, in plain words
Panels convert sunlight to DC power; a grid-tied inverter converts it to AC and synchronises with the utility supply. Your appliances draw from solar first and the grid tops up the rest. When you generate more than you use, the surplus exports to the grid and is credited against your bill under Pakistan's net-metering rules.
Best for
Homes and businesses in areas with reliable grid supply, daytime-heavy loads, and roof space to generate export surplus. If load-shedding is part of your life, look at hybrid.

Advantages — and the trade-offs
Every system type has both. Knowing them before you buy is the difference between a system you love and one you regret.
Why choose on-grid
- Lowest cost per installed kW — no batteries to buy or replace
- Grid export still credits your bill (at net-billing rates)
- Highest system efficiency (no battery conversion losses)
- Minimal maintenance — panels and inverter only
What to weigh
- No power during a grid outage — the inverter shuts down by design for line-worker safety
- Export now pays net-billing rates, well below the import tariff — size for self-consumption, not export income
- DISCO approval adds paperwork and lead time (we handle it, but it takes weeks, not days)
